Who doesn’t want a better immune system in these uncertain times?

But, what exactly is our immune system and what does it do?

The immune system is a complex organ system in the body comprised of white blood cells, skin, mucus and bacteria. Its central role is to seek, recruit, attack and destroy foreign invaders, such as bacteria and viruses that enter the body.

The immune system is just that — a system.

For it to function, it needs balance and harmony.

Researchers are exploring the effects of diet, exercise, age, psychological stress, and other factors have on the immune response.

I believe 100% that a healthy lifestyle is one of the best things you can do to  keep your immune system strong and healthy.

Following these healthy strategies can help better your immune system

I’m going to link a new study here from Washington  University  in St Louis that talks about the importance of your immune system.

Eat at whole foods diets, with plenty of fruits and vegetables and limit processed food!

Exercise on a regular basis. It can be as simple as a 30 minute walk. Move your body!

Stay hydrated!

Maintain a Healthy Weight!

Get enough sleep! Our bodies need rest. I would say at least 6-8 hours a night.

Take steps to decrease your stress. I think yoga is a great way to reduce stress! 

Limit alcohol
