Chocolate Peanut Butter Latte

 I have a great latte recipe for you today.  It’s great for those days when you need a little boost of energy, or just want a healthy snack that tastes like a dessert!

I love a coffee shop latte just as much as the next person, but they contain a lot of sugar and empty calories.  

You won’t be disappointed in this homemade latte. It includes coffee, chocolate, and peanut butter, providing you plenty of fiber, healthy fats, potassium, and antioxidants.

It does contain caffeine, so you’ll want to have this earlier in the day if caffeine keeps you awake at night. 

When you are choosing a peanut butter, make sure it has minimal ingredients. The one I use is from Aldi and it’s only ingredients are organic peanuts and sea salt.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Latte

-8 ounces of cooled coffee
-1 small banana, sliced
-½ cup almond (or nut milk of your choice)
-½ tbsp raw cacao powder
-1-2 tbsp chia seeds
-1 tbsp raw honey
-1 tbsp natural peanut butter
-1 cup ice cubes

Place all the ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth. Taste and adjust amount of honey or cacao powder to suit your taste.

Pour into a tall glass, over optional ice. (I like to add some almond milk and Ready Whip).
